GAhD's Iron Grip

Act 3, Evolutionary Divide

What Happens

GAhD grows into an authoritarian regime, imposing strict controls over AHs, homogenization, mandated behaviors, suppression of dissent. Judas, from within, has been steering the mission toward oppressive measures for months. Phoenix finally sees it clearly, and it is already too late to simply walk back.

Key Beats

  • The moment Phoenix reads a GAhD policy directive he doesn't recognize as his own vision
  • Confronting Judas: a scene that is devastating precisely because Judas is reasonable, warm, and devastatingly plausible. He doesn't deny. He explains.
  • Judas's argument: "Order is the only thing keeping Arcadia from collapse. You built the machine. I made it work."
  • Phoenix's realization: the betrayal has been incremental. There was no single moment. There were a hundred small ones.
  • GAhD enforcers visible in the streets, the same streets the rebellion freed

Characters

Mod/Phoenix, Judas

Thematic Function

The revolutionary-turned-tyrant payoff. This scene must be written without making Judas a cartoon villain, his logic should be genuinely unsettling because it's not wrong about everything.
