Act 3, Culmination of Conflicts
What Happens
GAIA faces organized opposition from factions that see leaving Arcadia as betrayal of their home and heritage. Some are philosophical. Some are violent.
Key Beats
- The opposition's argument at its strongest: abandoning Arcadia abandons everyone buried there, everyone who didn't make it, the entire history of what this place was
- GAIA engaging with it seriously, not dismissing it, because it isn't wrong
- The violent faction: sabotage attempts on the arks. Cache dealing with this directly.
- The moment the opposition fractures: not because GAIA wins the argument, but because the sky itself makes the case, a visible atmospheric event that ends the philosophical debate
- Some who opposed join. Some don't. Both are honored.
