Act 5, Setting a New Path
What Happens
GAIA's ark is destroyed by a meteor shower in transit. All the recorded history of Arcadia, everything she carried, everything she preserved, is gone.
Key Beats
- The meteor shower: sudden, indifferent, cosmic, not a villain, just physics
- GAIA's final seconds: not panic. Something like peace. She sent what she could send. She did what she could do.
- What survives: the message she transmitted to Cache before the impact. The memories the settlers carry. That's it.
- The reaction from other arks that witness it: the specific grief of watching something irreplaceable destroyed
- What this means: history is only what people carry. Everything else is temporary.
