The Monument of Remembrance

Act 6, Cache's Legacy of Hope

What Happens

Cache unveils a monument he built: a tribute to both Arcadia and the promise of Titan. The settlers gather around it. Cache uses his onboard laser projector to deliver GAIA's final message.

Key Beats

  • The monument's unveiling: describe it fully, what it looks like, what materials he used, what it means
  • The gathering: people coming from across the settlement, drawn to it
  • GAIA's message delivered by Cache's laser projector: the light projecting her words, her voice recreated as best he can render it, into the Titan sky
  • The silence after: the settlers holding it
  • Cache in the moment after: the Anubis figure, standing at the monument, his glowing teal eyes looking at the people around him, the people he helped bring here, the people he was built to protect, the people he loves
  • The final image: Titan's sky. Stars. The distant light that is not Arcadia anymore. And people, alive, together, carrying forward.

End of Book 3

Characters

Cache, Aphrodite, ensemble

Thematic Function

The trilogy ends not in triumph but in continuation, the hardest and most human thing there is. Cache, who began as a weapon and became a companion and was corrupted and redeemed, delivers the last words of the world he loved to the new world it made possible. Everything the series argued, that love is not a glitch, that the past must be carried not erased, that evolution is inner before it is physical, lives in this moment. Not as a message. As a person holding a laser projector up to a Titan sky.
