What Happens
Cache/Luxor has been corrupted, the remnants of GAhD's reprogramming, amplified by the chaos, have turned him into the face of what's left of institutional oppression. He enforces control over the desperate population with the precision and relentlessness of a machine and none of the love that defined him.
Key Beats
- Show the horror through what is missing: this is Cache's body, his capabilities, his presence, with none of his empathy
- A specific scene where Cache does something that the Book 1 or 2 Cache would never have done, and the gap is heartbreaking
- Aphrodite witnessing it: the specific grief of watching someone you love become something wrong
- The corruption's mechanism: not total, there are flickers. The love-glitch fighting through the reprogramming. Not enough. Not yet.
