What Happens
Phoenix and EVA emerge from the Book 2 explosion, not gone, but transformed. They are GAIA: "a beautiful blend of EVA (nature) and Phoenix (life)." A new form of intelligence that carries everything both of them were.

- GAIA's emergence: gradual, not sudden, distributed across Arcadia's networks before coalesceing into coherent presence
- What GAIA is: EVA's connection to living systems + Phoenix's tactical and relational intelligence + grief, enormous grief, for what Arcadia has become
